Raising the profile of Hounslow Parks

A pilot project at Redlees Park in Isleworth has launched a brand-new initiative to raise awareness of park amenities and improve access to green spaces across the borough.

We created a new vibrant parks identity, complementary to the Hounslow Council brand but promoting park attractions, amenities and family opportunities for fun and enjoyment in these beautiful green spaces.

Our user focussed design approach aimed to promote the park attractions to the full breadth of the local community, across all age groups, ethnic groups and ability ranges with bold people silhouettes reinforcing fun and play. The map driven wayfinding strategy has a bespoke cartographic style detailed to promote the natural beauty and attractions of the space. Locator maps show greater area highlighting further attractions and connectivity with other green spaces in the area.

Cllr Samia Chaudhary, Cabinet Member for Parks and Leisure at Hounslow Council who was at the launch of the park signage said: “Here at the council, we are always looking at innovative ways of encouraging our residents to make use of our wonderful parks and also become more active and healthy in doing so. Walking to or from your local park is just one of the ways to get active in your local area and these lovely new signs shows us how easily we can do that.”

For Redlees Park we have specified our Sign Solutions system ‘daisy’. Whatever your environment, we have a Sign Solution ready to meet your needs, offering flexibility in selection of materials, finishes and sizes adapted quickly to your bespoke requirements.
