frank – best man for the job

Southend-on-Sea appointed fwdesign to develop a pilot pedestrian wayfinding scheme that linked the train stations, council offices and high street with the beach. Southend chose to use frank, our ready-to-go urban design solution, because of the council's particular funding and timing requirements.

Our role was to review and develop a wayfinding strategy, giving consideration to the wider town and how the system will be rolled out in the future.

The system is due to be implemented in 2011
