fáilte ireland.

Our brief with Fáilte Ireland (National Irish Tourist Board), was to develop two heritage-touring routes for the Boyne Valley and Kildare & Wicklow as part of a framework agreement. The routes cover some of Ireland's most important historical sites such as The Hill of Tara and Brú na Bóinne.

We created an accessible strategy that communicated the story of Ireland's rich heritage, celebrated learning and encouraged further exploration. A number of key challenges; the shear scale of the route, the remoteness of locations and the breadth of information types, led to a new approach interrogating the very basics of our process.

It was key to our approach that information could be accessed at any point of the visitor journey. The product family looked beyond traditional plaques and information boards and focused on developing products that engaged with the user, allowing them to interact with information. Playful products such as spy holes allowing visitors to see images from the past and brass rubbings to engage with children are examples of the product family.
