Croke Park is the largest sports stadium in Ireland and the head quarters of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), it is also the spiritual home of Irish sport.

fwdesign were asked to conduct an audit of the stadium and from this make recommendations for the improvement of how match day visitors and the many thousands of conference and event visitors find their way round the stadium.

We developed a strategy and a design direction of iconic elements that wrapped around the stadium structure with colour coding to designate areas and zones. The system took into account the whole journey of the various user types, from the design of the ticket, through their journey to the stadium and onto their seat.

The system was designed to link in with the recently completed Dublin city information.
