We take the DDA* very seriously, and always design inclusively. In fact, we think we are one of the few urban realm consultancies that employ access consultants on virtually every project.
JBC-London has a team of less able-bodied testers who put our design solutions through their paces at an early stage. They’ll rate a range of concepts for inclusivity, advise on first stage mock-ups and conduct rigorous on-site tests with working prototypes. They also provide training on designing inclusively for new fwdesign staff.
We also employ the services of other specialist consultants – all experts in their own fields – to add a specific perspective on topics like dementia or colour. We add these individuals to the team as and when we feel it will add value to a project. They usually input at an early conceptual stage, assist us in key design decisions and undertake usability tests on prototypes.
