Characterised by its two main campuses, both in the city centre, one of the key wayfinding challenges was to define the university’s physical boundary so that it would be clear to anyone using or visiting it that they are actually on campus. Gateway structures coupled with wayfinding monoliths assist visitors arriving from the city centre or the Metro. |
A new hierarchy of information and prominent high-level branding helped users orientate themselves on campus whilst our internal wayfinding for the new ‘one-stop-shop’ student facility (The Gateway) simplified the staggered floor levels and provided flexibility for key events like Freshers’ Week. |
